Investment Adviser Representative, President of Visionary Financial Group
Shelly Dodge has more than 33 years of experience in the financial industry. She started her investment career in 1986 in the back office operations of a brokerage firm and in 1990 she moved her focus to the Trust and Estate Planning area where she gained extensive experience helping manage high net-worth clients. With the variety of assets held in trust accounts—not only stocks and bonds, but also Real Estate, oil and gas and other forms of investment vehicles—Shelly was able to broaden her knowledge in all the areas of asset management. In 2000 she changed her focus and headed up an Investment area at a community bank. It was at that time when she deepened her knowledge of the world of investments and learned what it meant to really put the customer first.
With the need to provide independent, objective, financial advice to her clients, Shelly founded Visionary Financial Group.
It is Shelly’s vision to help you understand your financial options and stay on track, even during difficult times. This commitment is a long-term commitment to stay with you in the years to come. She is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their vision for their financial future, and she continues to further her education to support her clients’ needs. In fact, Shelly recently received her designation as a Certified Wealth Strategist® from Cannon Financial Institute.
Shelly graduated from the University of Texas in Dallas, where she earned her Bachelor of Economics and Finance Degree. She has her Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses as well as her General Lines insurance license.
Shelly is proud to be active in her community and is very involved with her church. She enjoys travelling with her church to Guatemala and volunteering at a Guatemalan orphanage. She currently serves on the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Board as well as the Cross Timbers Rotary Board. She enjoys spending time with her four children. She loves to travel, and has visited over 32 states and 19 countries.
